Yes, ExBoot can support software backup,
but can not support recovery bootup function. However, for
ExBoot had backup your entire system inside ExBoot HDD, you
still can retrieve your data back. |

There’s a “schedule” icon on ExBoot
software, how can I use it? |
| |
The ExBoot powerful scheduling function can
provide daily, weekly, monthly routine backup. Furthermore,
you can set up backups for one-time, when turn on PC/notebook,
or when PC/notebook idol. Please set up scheduling as follow
steps: |

Step1. : Activate
ExBoot UI -> click “Schedule-> pick “New” |
| |
|

|
| |
Step 2.:Skip
the page of Schedule set up -> enter necessary information |
| |
| |
Task Name: the name
for your backup schedule
Run As User: Such user name must be the highest
authority user of PC/notebook, such as “Administrator”. |

Step 3. :Start
to set up your backup schedule -> click “New” Button. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
Step 4.: Choose
your backup schedule -> please choose it on “Schedule
Task”. |

Step 5. : You
have to enter user password (the same one as Step 2). |

Step 6. : There
will be “Task Name” shown on ExBoot UI, and “user password”
will also show on “Run As User” column, then you finish the
set up for ExBoot Schedule. |

When I want to “Uninstall ExBoot”,
what should I pay attention to? |
| |
First, please close ExBoot UI, including
TASK BAR ICON. If you find there are some files still exit
on C:\Program Files\AXIOMTEK”, please delete such folder.

What should I do before conducting
full backup? |
| |
We suggest to delete partition of ExBoot
USB HDD and then let ExBoot to create partition for you. |

When conducting Scheduling Backup,
using the Administrator account is always necessary. Who is
always the highest priority user of my computer? |
| |
For security reason, ExBoot will request
users to enter Administrator account and
password when conducting schedule backup. If you didn’t set
up password for your Windows, ExBoot will not conduct schedule
backup.
You can check user authority by: start/control panel/user
accounts. |

If your Windows didn’t set up password,
please set up password as following: |

backup and schedule backup, then ExBoot will turn off power

Please check below chart for checking Log
from ExBoot UI. Then ExBoot will list all backup logs on windows,

What is Cycling Backup of ExBoot?

Advanced -> Cycling
Backup ->click □ Enable cycling full backup
function->set up how many days you want to perform
full backup. |

You can set up “Conducting full backup
after how many incremental backups?” through Cycling
Backup. For example, if you set up your Cycling Backup
as 7 days, and conducting incremental backup once
per day. Then something like conducting full backup
on June 1st, and one incremental per day from June
2nd to June 8th. When June 9th, ExBoot will conduct
full backup automatically, delete old backup version,
and keep the most updated one. |

ExBoot Recovery CD will only recover “operation
system partition” (most PC or notebook is C Drive). For the
rest hard drive contents, please copy them back from ExBoot
USB hard drive. |

What is the limitation of
using ExBoot Recovery CD? |
| |
Limitation 1: All related hard drive
must be IDE ones.
Limitation 2: if you prepare a new IDE hard drive for the
replacement of damaged hard drive, the capacity of new hard
drive must be larger than the USB hard drive within ExBoot
hard drive enclosure. PS: There is no such limitation if you
utilize USB bootup function of ExBoot. |

| |
Yes, please follow below steps:

To connect your PC or
notebook with EXB-0121 through prime USB connector
of USB Y-cable. |

To purchase a unit of DC IN 5V/1A
adaptor with power cord, plug it into DC-inlet of
EXB-0121as power source. Then you can use EXB-0121.

After recovering my whole
data, how can I recover data or for specific date and time?
|
| |
ExBoot possesses incremental
backup function; those data of incremental backup are being
saved at hidden folder. Therefore, you must reveal those
hidden folders first. Please follow below steps |

Step 1:Activate windows -> click
“Tools” -> Folder Options... |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
Step 2:click “View”
-> choose “Show hidden files and folders” of “Hidden files
and folders”->Apply |

Step 3:Go back to
PC/notebook, choose USB IDE hard drive of ExBoot then you
will find “$ExBoot” hidden folder. You can find file you want
within $ExBoot folder. |

PC or notebook by following steps:

other USB slot of your PC/notebook with DC-inlet cable’s USB
head to supply power. Therefore, the power supply head of
USB Y-cable is useless. |

ExBoot USB HDD is 80G. You can conduct following arrangement:
First, you can arrange you USB HDD into 3 partitions, 20G,
50G, 10G respectively. Then 20G for C partition, 50G for E
partition, and 10G for external HDD case use. |
